Sled Dogs to St. Paul Film Premieres This Week

Posted by .

We’re so glad to have been a part of this amazing journey! Showings of the film “Sled Dogs to St. Paul” are happening this week across Minnesota. The film follows former State Representative Frank Moe’s sled dog run from Grand Marais to the capitol to deliver 13,000 petition signatures opposing sulfide mining. Join Frank as he mushes his team of 10 sled dogs through deep snow, trudges through slush, and steers his sled through busy city streets to deliver an important message to the capitol. Throughout the film, you will get to hear the opinions of many people in Minnesota who would be impacted by sulfide mining, including local business owners, property owners, tribal officials, property owners, community activists, and many others.

The film premieres in Duluth on Thursday, November 15 at the Fitger’s Complex Red Star Lounge, starting at 7 pm. On Saturday, November 17 there will be a showing in Minneapolis at the Midwest Mountaineering Expo, 6 pm at the Humphrey Center’s Cowles Auditorium. There will also be a showing in Ely, but details have not yet been released. Showings are free and open to the public.
