Organizer & Outreach Coordinator

Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate

Who We Are:

Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate (HPHC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with hundreds of interdisciplinary health professional members across Minnesota focused on protecting and improving human health by promoting climate health and justice. We educate health professionals, the public, and policymakers about the health impacts of climate change, and advocate for policies and institutional changes that address climate change mitigation and build resilience to protect public health. HPHC promotes a climate equity policy agenda that dismantles existing environmental racism, creates a just and equitable transition to a carbon-free economy, and prioritizes investment in and working with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, and other marginalized communities to create climate resilience and healthy, thriving communities. Our organizational values include inclusive and decentralized decision-making and open, transparent communication. HPHC’s work is led by a small staff including an Executive Director and Communications Manager; staff work closely together with the guidance and lead participation of a volunteer Executive Committee and seven-member Board of Directors.
