Position Description

The Clean Equitable Economy Program Manager is responsible for leading Clean Equitable Economy transitional employees in acquiring skills needed to work in the energy efficiency and reduction sector. This position will assist participants in setting and achieving education and long-term employment goals.

The Clean Equitable Economy Program Manager will put participants first in everything you do, by exemplifying radical hospitality (empathy, kindness, and patience) while recruiting and helping retain participants (with a strong focus on households of color and indigenous households).

Our processes are customer-driven and tailored to each individual or family. This self-motivated position requires the ability to be a skilled collaborator, adaptable, solution-oriented, and engaging. A strong understanding of cultural humility and the challenges of poverty are key.

This is a grant-funded, full-time position. This position is non-exempt with flexible working hour options that span between 7am-8:30pm Monday – Friday. Full organizational benefits offered. The nature of this position may include some weekend hours.

You will work directly with other coaching staff, and closely with additional program staff to ensure that participants are getting assistance across all service areas offered by Community Action Duluth.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist Director of Workforce Programs with hiring transitional staff.
  2. Order materials, supplies, and PPE needed for completion of the program.
  3. Organize and implement training opportunities for program participants.
  4. Lead the program participants in performing energy audits.
  5. Complete all required reporting to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
  6. Use Community Action Duluth’s data management system to document and track outcomes of participants and grant progress.
  7. Attend meetings and webinars as required by grant funding.
  8. Build partnerships with community partners.
  9. Prepare participants to enter/advance in the workforce providing support, education, training, and job readiness.
  10. Connect participants with additional community advocates, programs, and resources as needed.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to communicate with participants, partners, and Community Action Coaches working in different departments.
  2. Previous experience working in residential construction, energy auditing, or HVAC.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers.
  4. Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of community resources in Duluth.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Experience using data entry systems such as Salesforce or Workforce One.

This position is a Union represented position.

Starting wage: $23

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
